GhostCue is a macOS app that helps you during live interviews. We designed it to keep as much of your data as possible on your own Mac. This policy explains what we collect, what stays local, and who else processes your data.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile from Google.
• Usage data. To enforce plan limits we keep minimal counters such as the number of suggestions generated per day and basic session metadata.
• Payments. Billing is currently handled manually by email. We do not collect or store card details.

Your interview audio and transcripts

Interview audio is processed live and never stored by us. Transcripts and session history are stored locally on your device (in the app's on-device database) so you can review recent interviews — they are not uploaded to our servers.

Third-party processing

To work in real time, GhostCue sends data to a few processors while an interview is active:

• Deepgram — receives interview audio to produce live transcripts.
• Anthropic (Claude) and, if selected, Google (Gemini) — receive transcript text and your interview-prep context to generate suggestions.

These providers process your data on our behalf to deliver the service, and their handling is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Cookies

Our website uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Local transcripts live on your device and are subject to the history-retention window of your plan; you can delete them at any time from the app.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your account data from our systems.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
